I assume that many of you, much like myself tends to think just dropping off your clothing at the local Goodwill is a way of helping the environment while cleaning out your closet. Turns out that only a small fraction of what we donate is ever bought. The rest is then shipped off to foreign markets and end up in landfills causing more harm then we had ever imagined. I sat down with Vinny from Austin Project Hope to discuss how taking your old clothes and allowing them to be distributed to those in need and the remainders recycled for art projects.
***disclaimer. Austin Project Hope is not a fully functioning non profit at this time. It is the brainchild of Vinny and myself and is its infancy and was used for the purposes of this assignment. Look for it in the near future**
